E85

Ethanol fuel has been used ever since the first Model T rolled off the assembly line.  Henry Ford wanted to use Ethanol to power his vehicles that he produced in his factory.  The only reason ethanol did not take off at the time was due to very cheap crude oil.  Crude oil was broken down and separated into kerosene.  Kerosene was the main purpose for crude oil in the earlier years and after several years they decided it would be the best way to power their automobiles.

Pricing Between Ethanol and Gasoline

The average cost of E85 today 10/14/11 is $3.02 and the average cost of Gasoline is $3.40.  That is a 38 cent difference.  Does it make economic sense to buy ethanol?  E85 has less energy per gallon than gasoline, that means you can expect less MPG's.  If there was a cheaper way of producing ethanol it could get down to as little as $2.00.  Crude oil is broken down by temperature separation making gasoline the bi-product of crude.  If you are a looking to go "American Made" or "Going Green" then by E85.  E85 does cost more over time but only a couple hundred dollars more a year.

I THINK ALGAE OIL WILL BE THE NEXT BEST THING......
